A small number of problems and uncertainties concerning the following issues could not be resolved prior to the publication of the book and remain as of 2004. Therefore, more information on these issues is required. If you have any of the records listed below, the easiest way to transmit the information required is by xeroxing each side and adding details of label colour, whether surfaced or plain paper and plain or milled edge, plus all wax information. (Please comment on take designation -a or -A. Sometimes it is believed, that the handwritten -a found in the take designations in wax is actually the american way of writing an upper-case A by hand. This phenomenon appears also with Gennett masters. The hand-written -B is always an upper-case B! What is your opinion ?)

8058	Sara Martin. All copies L.W. has seen couple S-71-391-B/S-71-374-a. Blues & Gospel Discography (Goodrich & Dixon) - B&G - also lists S-71-391-a. Does this exist?
8154	Sara Martin. What is the accompaniment credit for side -B ?
8161	Sara Martin. Standard source give matrix S-72-586-B also issued and is accompanied by Clarence Williams, piano. No copy found and L.W. doubts it exists.
8192	Butterbeans & Susie. If you have this on Truetone L.W. needs details.
8200	Tyus and Tyus. L.W. has not found any copy with the final word of A side title as BABY.
8259	Roboinson & Mack. L.W. has not found accompaniment credit showing hyphen in in Baritoen-Soprano.
8274	Billy Mary Mack. L.W. has found only 73907-a. Tom Lord mentioned -B issued.
8382	OKeh Melody Stars. L.W. has inspected 74311-a/4310-B. Rust shows -B/-B. Bob Graf once had a -a/-a but failed to keep details. Can you confirm any take combination and if so, the stampers used ?
8492	Wilton Crawley. Rust shows 80984-B issued. Files show -C to be used and all copies seen use that.
8521	Duke Ellington. Dispositions show 81776-B to be used. It is on sundry other issues, but does it exist on 8521 ?
8528	Raymond Boyd. Files show only 80812-a made and copies inspected show -a. B&G shows take 80812-B ?
8547	Re. Gates. Files show 81662-B to be used, but copies seen use -a.
8559	Bryant. Can you help with details of a black label issue ? L.W. has a photo, but too battered to read anything.
8579	Bryant. Mike Stewart once reported a copy using 400372-B. L.W. needs details but Mike no longer has it.
8705	Texas Alexander. Do you know if 402640-B was used ? Files indicate -A was "lost" and -B substituted.
8706	Clarence Williams. Rust shows 402489-C issued on OK. L.W. only knows -A.
8720	Harlem Footwarmers. Ron Jewson had a copy on small black label, but It can't be locatedt. Can anyone help ?
8732	Swan & Lee. L.W. has only -B/-B. Any other combination ?
8768	Lonnie Johnson. Can you confirm 403668-A ? All copies seen use -B.
8784	Mississippi Sheiks. Can anyone confirm 403805-A ? All copies seen use -B.
8789	Elizabeth Johnson. 401280-B reputed to exist, but all copies seen use -C.
8790	Clarence Williams. Rust shows all four takes on OK, but only -A/-A has been found. (A copy of -A/-B is reliably reported in Germany. Stamper "1", no letter. 30.03. 2004)
8806	Clarence Williams. L.W. has checked -C/-B and -B/-B. Tom Lord reported -B/-A but this was not seen.
8811	Luis Russell. Rust shows two takes of each title issued and L.W. has found -C/-B and -A/-C. Are there any other combinations ?
8813	Texas Alexander. L.W. has -B/-A. Other takes claimed but not seen.
8823	Texas Alexander. 404118-B reported to exist, but not seen. Files show it rejected.
8825	Helen Humes. Mike Stewart reported 81872-B. Again he no longer owns it and details are needed.
8831	Lonnie Johnson. L.W. has only -A/-A. Can you confirm any other combination ?
8846	Lonnie Johnson. 404561-A reported but not seen.
8859	Mississippi Sheiks. 404785-A reported but not seen.
8875	Lonnie Johnson. 404848-A was originally 'OK' then rejected, but may have been used ?
8910	Elder Curry. 404781-B reported issued, but not seen.
