DID YOU KNOW … ?

Everybody interested in early jazz knows that the Original Dixieland Jazz Band from New Orleans, a white combination, cut the first jazz recordings in 1917. There was no jazz or blues record before the ODJB. Earlier recordings of popular music by white and black performers alike can at most aptly be described as "ragtime", and the word jazz (or jass) was not used for any recordings before the ODJB.

Some Info About Jazz Music

If you walk inside the lobby of a hotel or a casino, I am pretty sure that you would be hearing jazz music playing in the background. It is certainly possible that this would happen in almost every single hotel or casino in the United States of America or the United Kingdom. I can say with absolute certainty that jazz music happens to be very gracefully organic and original as well. It is very beautiful, healthy and fresh. It is definitely one of the genres of music that is worthy of your time and worthy of you listening to it.

Some Info About Jazz Music

There have actually been so many studies that confirm that jazz music requires you to use a lot of your brain, and a lot of people have said that it actually makes you smarter. But, the same cannot actually be said for pop music or any other kinds of music. Pop music melodies are actually very repetitive, and the songs are not exactly as enjoyable. There was a time when pop music was at the top of its game, and I am talking about the time when Michael Jackson was alive. Michael Jackson knew exactly what he’s doing, especially when it comes to capturing the audience. Michael Jackson was the King of Pop, and he produced amazing music indeed. He used to make groundbreaking music, and his music was an inspiration to millions of people all around the world. Billions of people knew who Michael Jackson was, and people would repeat verses and sing the music along with him. I feel that pop music ended with Michael Jackson when he died.

Some Info About Jazz Music

A lot of the songs that have come out in the genre of pop after Michael Jackson died has actually been quite repetitive, and it is not in that good. I am not saying that all pop songs are terrible, because a lot of them are really good. All I’m saying is that the pop musicians have actually lost that touch. I would also like to gracefully point out that jazz music is absolutely amazing and does not repeat itself. One thing about jazz music is that it demands the attention of the audience. Even if it is a subconscious kind of attention, you will be concentrating on the music, because of all of the instruments that are being played. There are so many different styles that are actually inside, and all of them have different meanings. The audience will be thinking about the music and feeling it as well. The composers how to communicate their feelings through music. Jazz music is truly magical and definitely one of my favourite genres of all time.
